Halifax Community College Adds ECE As Its First Sponsored Apprenticeship Program
Building Bright Futures was recently on-hand at a signing event at Halifax Community College (HCC) as they officially added Early Childhood Education as its first sponsored apprenticeship program! Read about how this collaborative effort among local, regional, and state partners will help address the early child care needs of the local community.

Spotlight: Megan McCurley, Executive Director, the Latino Educational Achievement Partnership in Durham, NC
Megan McCurley serves as the Executive Director of the Latino Educational Achievement Partnership (LEAP), a Durham-based dual language immersion program for 3- and 4-year-olds. Megan has a passion for ECE and supporting her local Latinx community. Learn how being part of a sponsored apprenticeship program is benefiting LEAP’s staff and program.

BBF Participants: Don't Forget to Submit Financial Requests!
We are in the final months of our two-year grant. Don't forget to submit your financial requests!
The BBF team hosted a webinar tutorial on the reimbursement request process and the types of financial support BBF can provide. If you are a participant of BBF, you can view the webinar and slide presentation by going to the password-protected Participants Access page and clicking the Wage and Expense Reimbursement tab. For any questions on reimbursement requests, email lindley.hille@nc.gov or christina.hutchinson@nc.gov.

If you are already utilizing a T.E.A.C.H. scholarship and are a new apprentice pursuing an Associate's Degree, the Early Childhood Educator Apprenticeship Scholarship may be a better fit!
